Doug, Reggie, and Bradyn went to Minneapolis for an SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) event. The MN SIOR chapter organizes the event to allow the brokerage community to network and recognize both the up and coming and the well accomplished. This event would not be possible without the generous corporate sponsorships. Three scholarship recipients were recognized for their outstanding dedication in the classroom and their motivation to be in the real estate industry. The other recognition is the presentation of the Boblet Award. This award goes to a broker for their hard work and dedication to the industry. Michael Bender, Bradyn Neises, Rob Fagnan and Doug Brockhouse attended the Sioux Falls Development Foundation Annual Meeting which was held at the Holiday Inn downtown Sioux Falls on Thursday Nov. 17th. Foundation Board Chairman Dale Froehlich reported on the many accomplishments that occurred in 2016 and the opportunities that lay ahead in 2017. Dale commented that a new advisory group made up of six local/regional commercial brokers has been formed to assist the Foundation in attempting to generate sales through the brokerage community here and nationally. Dale commented that Doug Brockhouse at Bender Commercial was ‘bull-headed’ enough and pushed to get the advisory group started.
Doug Brockhouse and Bradyn Neises represented Lanter Delivery Systems in a sublease transaction. They will be subleasing 5,364 square feet of cross dock space at 810 N Weber Ave for six months. Lanter Delivery Systems is a nationwide logistics company that delivers original equipment manufactured auto and Ag parts to local dealerships. They use engineered logistics to provide next day delivery for their clients. Their business model relies heavily on efficiencies, which they deliver day in and day out. Nick Gustafson sold 1308 East Cedar Street in Brandon, SD this week. The three-tenant, 4,200 square foot building was purchased by an investor. Nick represented both parties in the transaction.
Over the past two months, Doug Brockhouse and Rob Fagnan have sold three (3) lots and put one under contract in the Hagedorn Industrial Park. The industrial lots, ranging from 47,126 to 65,812 square feet, are located southwest of the I-29 Tea Exit. The intentions of the buyers are to construct owner-occupied contractor shops. Additional unites will be available for lease. There are currently three (3) lots remaining.
