Brockhouse, Neises Help The Banquet Find Westside Location

Looking to bolster their presence in western Sioux Falls, The Banquet announced plans for a new dining hall near the intersection of 5th Street and Marion Road. Currently, The Banquet rents the Nordstrom Johnson Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds, which the new facility will eventually replace. The building will be constructed on two acres of land donated by the Delbridge family.

Bender Commerical Real Estate’s Doug Brockhouse and Bradyn Neises represented both The Banquet and the Delbridge family in the partnership.

“When Cindy Monnin (President of Friessen Construction and former Banquet board member) contacted us to help find a permanent space for The Banquet in western Sioux Falls we had a few options,” said Brockhouse. Neises added, “After bringing the need to the Delbridge family to consider, it quickly became clear they were interested in supporting this project.”

Twelve years ago, Bender Commercial partners, Brockhouse and Michael Bender, helped The Banquet find its current location on East 8th Street.

“Having an opportunity like this come up is particularly rewarding when you can connect a party looking to make a positive impact on Sioux Falls with another who’s in a position to help,” concluded Brockhouse.

With the announcement of the westside plans, The Banquet organizers also launched a $1.6 million campaign to raise funds for the cost of the 7,000-square-foot kitchen and dining hall.
