“If I had to pick one aspect I appreciate the most about a career in commercial real estate it’s easily the opportunity to continue to learn.”

For Bradyn Neises, it’s not just talk. It’s how he approaches his business.

Neises travelled to Nashville this summer to attend SIOR’s Broker Bootcamp. According to the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, it’s “the industry’s best training program to learn the fundamentals of commercial real estate and enhance your professional skills from the seasoned practitioners.”

After completing the designation course, Neises officially joins Bender Commercial’s five other SIOR members as a SIOR Associate Member.

“I feel like these classes have made me a better commercial real estate agent, and I’m looking forward to getting even better at solving my clients’ problems.” -Bradyn Neises

The SIOR designation signifies a broker is among “the most capable and experienced industrial and office brokerage practitioners in any market—delivering best in class service to clients while working together to advance the industry.”

Only 1.5% of brokers nationwide achieve this designation.

“Being in the office with so many talented brokers and working directly with Doug [Brockhouse] has made a huge difference in accelerating my career,” said Neises. “Being able to learn from some of the industry’s leaders on a national and international level through SIOR at the Nashville course was incredible.”

Bender Commercial has been a leader in leveraging the SIOR global network in Sioux Falls by having more SIOR members under one roof than any other brokerage in South Dakota as well as the state’s first SIOR member, Michael Bender.

Neises continued, “What’s great about the SIOR class was how interactive it was. It gave my class of 42 brokers from all over North America an opportunity to share our experience and learn from one another.”

To become a SIOR Member Associate Neises had to complete the core components of commercial brokerage:

  • Experience – Minimum of one year and no more than eight year’s documented active engagement as a full-time practitioner
  • Ethics – Uphold SIOR’s Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice
  • Mentor – Obtain a mentor who is an active member in the applicant’s chapter
  • Endorsement – Obtain one formal endorsement from an active designee in the applicant’s chapter.
  • Production – Applicants must reach at least 50% of the Gross Fee Income, income to the applicant’s firm directly attributable to the applicant before splits, for their market. That number is $125,000 for the Sioux Falls market.

“It’s been a fun ride watching Bradyn get out there and figure this business out,” said Doug BrockhouseNeises’ SIOR mentor. “He has a bright future in Sioux Falls.”

This is just the beginning of the road of learning ahead of Neises. He’s currently pursuing the requirements to become a full SIOR member.

“I feel like these classes have made me a better commercial real estate agent, and I’m looking forward to getting even better at solving my clients’ problems,” Neises concluded.
