Our Response to COVID-19

With a growing impact on our community and across the globe, the coronavirus (COVID-19) is rapidly changing the business climate. Many businesses in our community are adjusting to this new reality as we speak, including Bender Commercial Real Estate Services. We are actively monitoring the impact of coronavirus and coordinating our response with the City of Sioux Falls’ Health Department and the Mayor’s office.

To do our part in slowing the spread of coronavirus and protecting our clients and staff we have made the following changes, effective immediately, based on guidelines by the CDC and the City of Sioux Falls’ health officials.

Are we changing our hours of operation?

No. For the time being, business will continue as usual, and our office will remain open.

However, weand our sister company, Bender Midwest Propertiesare having our teams work from home where possible to promote social distancing. All team members are welcome to bring any equipment home from the office if needed, like monitors, keyboard, etc.

Why are we making these decisions?

With so many unknowns about COVID-19 we’re doing our best to make decisions for the best of our team and our community. Every small proactive step could make a difference in how we need to react in the near future.

Our commitment to offering the best guidance for our clients is unwavering, the Bender team will just be mostly remote for the time being. We’re fortunate to have the ability to continue to operate our business with much of our team being remote. We encourage others in similar situations to do the same.

Wash your hands. Avoid large gatherings. We’ll get through this together.

Michael Bender, CCIM, SIOR
