October 27, 2009...Michael Bender recently had the opportunity to speak at the 3^rd Annual Economic Outlook Seminar held in Sioux Falls.  The event was hosted by the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was attended by approximately 160 business leaders.  Michael discussed the current health of the commercial real estate market and what that industry should expect in the future.  Other presenters at the Summit included:

·   Barton Hacker, the executive director of the Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire, reporting on the general health of the residential real estate market. 

·   Economist Ralph Brown, consultant and professor at University of South Dakota, discussing the impact the national recession had on South Dakota

·   Economist Robert Wright, Nef Family Chair of Political Economy at Augustana College, who examined the factors that may have led the nation into this recession.
