Kuipers Finds a New Home for School of the Deaf

Bender partner, Reggie Kuipers, recently closed the sale of the former TCF Bank building at 4101 West 38th Street to the South Dakota Board of Regents.

The Board of Regents will use the 43,000 square foot property as the new home for the South Dakota School of the Deaf.

Additionally, the South Dakota State University Extension and the state Department of Health, who were both located at the former School of the Deaf campus on East Eighth Street, will also make the move to the new location.

“After TCF Bank announced plans to sell their 38th Street building last fall we wanted to find a user that could really utilize the facility,” said Kuipers. “It ended up being a great option for the School of the Deaf, SDSU, and the Department of Health.”

The Board of Regents plans to complete renovations and have the facility up-and-running by the end of the year.
