Michael Derby
graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1979 with a Bachelor of
Science in Business Management. Mike had an extensive career in the
outdoor advertising industry. He also served three terms as a
South Dakota State Representative. He and his wife, Carmen,
currently own the Canyon Lake Resort and Canyon Lake Reception and
Catering. Mike
is an active volunteer for numerous non-profit organizations and serves on boards in Rapid
City, the Black Hills and several statewide organizations.
Mike and Carmen live in Rapid City and have two daughters, Danielle and
Alyssa.
